British 10k

Oh dear, this journey didn't quite go to plan.
Left home at 6am to catch the 6:37 train from Staines - but that doesn't run any more, really should have checked. Caught the 7:16 which the got stuck behind a broken down train and was diverted, anyway as a result I got to Waterloo about 8:40.
Now I don't know or go to London so I was standing around a bit lost, managed to find some girls with numbers pinned on and asked if I could follow them. I'm greatful they were there and that they were happy for me to stalk them to the start - but they walked so slow!
Luckily (for me) the start was delayed.

The starting line up was complete chaos with everyone seemingly getting as close to the start line regardless of their predicted finishing times. This made it almost impossible to run a steady pace, forcing frustrating and dangerous dodge and weave behaviour from many runners.
Thats the winge over.

The race was good, great scenery - don't know what much of it was, like I said I don't go to London. (In fact I only realised I was standing in Trafalger square afterwards when I was looking around trying to get back home)

51mins 54secs
172 bpm

Personal best!
That'll do nicely.
